Ngarrindjeri people weave to make resources such as baskets, fish nets, fish traps and mats. While they sit and weave, they are sharing stories, bringing people together. They are connecting on different levels and teaching younger generations about Creation, connection to the environment, to family, kinship, language and to our ancestors.
This original artwork is painted with acrylic on canvas that has been hand stretched and is framed in a Tasmanian oak timber floating frame. It includes hanging wire and wall bumpers so your artwork is ready to hang, no assembly required.
